The challenge for in-mould labels is to consistently perform against the demands of the injection moulding process and a variety of market environments while presenting consumer brands with striking images and photographic print quality.

Each moulding situation has specific technical requirements for robotic label placement, injection burn through, heat resistance and label distortion. Additionally, the moulded containers and labels are nested, filled, transported and placed in freezers, fridges, microwaves, dishwashers and other environments, all of which test the technical qualities and characteristics of the printed labels.

Logans overcome common in-mould label issues such as ink adhesion, scratch resistance, static, surface tensions, label curl, size variation, odour and food hygiene using our customised production equipment, oxidising curing technique and climate controlled production facility.

The specific needs of different product types are tightly managed through the selection of materials, design, ink density, printing, coating, curing and cutting techniques resulting in in-mould labels that are engineered to be technically robust and fit-for-purpose through the label’s life cycle.
